Once a spot light now a desk light, focus light or accent light.
Believed to be from the 50's or 60's. Mounted on a weighted stand and can be articulated in any number of positions. Cast steel base, steel galvanized pole and steel support rod. Beautiful patina, replaced original light socket (original bulbs no longer available) with a standard light bulb socket. New power cord but no longer wired through the original switch.
